The establishment of the new scientific society EUROKIDS, dedicated to Kawasaki disease in European countries, has been announced. Following the first two meetings held in Paris in 2021 and in Bologna in 2023 initially aimed at creating an informal European collaboration, the current objective is to structure a group of physicians capable of developing EUROKIDS into a dynamic and innovative scientific society. The main priorities remain early diagnosis and equitable access to effective treatments for all patients. Despite advances in understanding the mechanisms of the disease, the causes of Kawasaki disease remain unknown.
